Hello all:
I am trying to parse a driver's license using a mag-stripe reader and had a question about the hair & eye colors on track 3 (for an Alabama license). Does anyone know where I can find a list of valid colors for these two attributes? Right now I'm only working with Alabama, South Carolina, and Mississippi but will eventually like to know those colors recognized by all states.
Is there some sort of nationally recognized list or does it vary by state? I tried Alabama's DMV and Public Safety websites but couldn't find anything along the lines of a whitepaper or data specification...eh...that's Alabama for you.
RE(2): Standard abbreviations for colors. Subject: RE(2): Standard abbreviations for colors. Color abbreviations pose significant problems in terms of translation and localization. My own first experience with this came when I was reading the wiring harness diagram for a beloved (and alas long-gone).

I've included a sampe of the data for Alabama below...should this be the same as all other states? Is the '636033' on track 2 some sort of identifier? I'm so lost...
Thanks in advance!
